Book review of GRANDEST REVELATION - THE EXORDIUM by Anubhav Anand.

Image
A pinch of mystery, some sauteed stories, and a well tadka of melodrama, cooked with pulpy characters are usually taken as a golden standard for a book to taste deliciously to your eyes, especiall y when it tends to fall under the genres of science fiction, mystery, melodrama, and fantasy. But both cooking and writing are considered jobs demanding tonnes of creativity and equal amounts of patience. And when you overcook or undercook a dish, the thin muscular tongue wouldn't hesitate to spit out some harsh words too.  Does only the beginning of a book matter? Or is it the central theme? Could there be a mystery, not seen with the naked eye but rather be seen by the deeper emotional seat of your heart? With millions of questions and trepidations like these, I sought answers from my most recent read of 2022, GRANDEST REVELATION - THE EXORDIUM by Anubhav Anand.  One-line review:   ' Anubahv came up with a plot, which makes it hard to place him under the category of the BUDDIN...

Review of UNLOCKING THE SHINE by Meenakshi Goswami.

Image
Healing itself, maybe a subjective opinion both emotionally, physically, and most importantly of the mental state, of which one’s own self is most of the time held responsible for. It seems to be a very pleasing aspect that, with breezes of time blowing faster, a stage set for understanding, deciphering, and acknowledging mental health, has been in trend in recent years.  Sometimes you might be wanting to be served with some motivation, which would thrust you, or sometimes you would be incessantly craving for some positive notes, which might help you in absorbing the bliss of life you tackle on an everyday basis.  Probably Meenakshi Goswami too would have felt this void, but rather than just you and me, 'pondering about this void' she fondly pens her feelings down into poems, the poems which would serve you the right amount of threshold to unlock your prudence towards the world.  And the book which I stumbled across, and will be reviewing today is UNLOCKING THE SHINE by ...

Review of SCARLETT: LOST IN THE FIVE LANDS by Rajendra Sarilla

Image
Ferrying us to an unknown land without a ticket fare could undoubtedly be possible only with a heartwarming and triggering fantasy book, which would lay stoic between our palms but would teleport us to the dimensions unknown. Fantasy as a genre has always fascinated, and put forth a newer world before the readers. With almost the same expectations, the book I picked was SCARLETT: LOST IN THE FIVE LANDS by Rajendra Sarilla. It felt as a seemingly pleasant read.  Read further to dive into the detailed review of the book! One-line review:   'A fascinating story of a warrior girl, resilient to fate, and courageous to core. Lost yet found.' Extended review:  Plot synopsis (spoiler-free ): The book takes off with princess Scarlett and her parents, King Xavier and Queen Adeline, reigning the Sky Kingdom. They are stuck in a battle with the dark forces. Scarlett shows unmatched courage in battling the forces, but gets lost in the five lands while trying to save herself. The story...

Books review of The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins.

Image
Train journeys can be really exciting and intriguing. They give us joy rides, take us to our destination, and the whole journey could be thoroughly enjoyed if you are any near to that of the window seat. Now imagine you traverse through the same train each day, and witness almost the same ‘out of the window experience’ but suddenly you are into a plot of a dreadful game, a murder, a betrayal, a saga… with these expectations I picked,   The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins .  Read further to dive into the detailed review of the book! One-line review:   "A riveting plot dividing relationships unearthed emotions, doubt, suspicion, thrill, betrayal and the utmost of all LOVE" Extended review:  Plot synopsis (spoiler-free ): The book takes off with Rachel who catches the same commuter train every morning, and the train exactly pauses at one particular signal from where she witnesses a house, and a young couple residing in it. Book review of VICIOUS by V.E.Schwab.

Image
A darker world, a story between two friends -turned foes. Each one, struggling to pursue what feels right to them. Neither of them is completely wrong, nor completely right, yet the turmoil amidst them would be gravitating. And this is exactly what the setting of VICIOUS by V.E.Schwab looks and feels like.  One-line review: ‘A masterful narrative, unique in its way. Taking off from nothingness and leaving the reader in a realm of myriad emotions, betrayal, love, and turmoil.’ Extended review:   Plot synopsis:{spoiler free} The book starts with two happy go lucky friends named Eli Cardale (Ever) and Victor Vale. The duo begins, with a summer holiday project about the effects of adrenaline (epinephrine) which induces unmatched powers, far more beyond our imagination especially when administered in a NEAR DEATH situation. And this would trigger a  person to acquire new powers, according to what they deserve and believe. In this process, Eli obtains the power of Heali...
